Q1. Could you start by giving us a brief overview of your professional background, particularly focusing on your expertise in the industry?

Heading EMEA New launch Labelling profile with similar experience in companies like P&G, Walmart & Diageo. Results-driven Initiative leader with 12+ years of experience delivering data-driven strategies across consumer goods, retail, and beverages industries. Proven expertise in driving business impact through analytics, stakeholder management, and process optimization. Adept at leveraging data to shape strategy, improve profitability, and enhance decision-making. Proficient in e2e Project management with specialization in Product & Packaging Design with Artwork Management. Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing high-performance teams and delivering actionable insights.


Q2. What labelling trends are you seeing across EMEA markets that reflect shifting consumer priorities—like demand for transparency, sustainability, or ingredient traceability?

Implementation of QR codes and Brand security features enhances the consumer experience and also ensures the consumer gets authentic products. Focus also on dedicated artworks rather than using stickers, which is also in the process for a better & enhanced consumer experience.


Q3. Are digital labelling initiatives (like QR-code-based e-labels or digital claim disclosures) gaining traction in EMEA markets?

Yes. QR code & ePIL QR codes are a high priority, with a target completion date of the end of 2026. We are also focusing on having one QR code for all requirements for tracking and smoothly transitioning the barcode to a 2D code, which is a significant development.


Q4. How are sustainability trends influencing labelling—from recyclability symbols to environmental impact disclosures or allergen-free icons?

These symbols/icons are part of existing artworks; however, they are more informational and less about enhancing consumer awareness right now.


Q5. Across the EMEA region, which countries or sub-regions are currently the most active in terms of new product introductions or relabelling initiatives?

The UK market and the Middle East countries have the maximum chunk of new launches; African countries get a share of new launches only when the product has been established in the Middle East markets.


Q6. Are there companies in the region that you believe are navigating complex EMEA labelling requirements particularly well—or even influencing how standards evolve?

Freya is actively investing in and onboarding the regulatory teams for a one-stop solution for all regulatory requirements. Additionally, AI automation in understanding the regulatory changes for each region may impact the regulatory workflow.


Q7. If you were an investor looking at companies within the space, what critical question would you pose to their senior management?

Focus on simplifying the number of brands & Variants and placement in the market and capitalize on early market entry to adapt to changing market dynamics.
