The Rise of Intelligent Industrial Automation

Q1. Could you start by giving us a brief overview of your professional background, particularly focusing on your expertise in the industry?

With nearly 20 years of experience in sales, I've had the opportunity to manage and grow businesses across Indonesia and Southeast Asia. I specialize in process instrumentation and filtration systems, and much of my work has focused on expanding markets and building strong partnerships with distributors—efforts that have produced clear, measurable results. In addition to sales, I’ve led cross-functional teams to bring new products and services to market, making sure technical features truly align with what customers need.

Q2. How is the industrial process technology market changing as customers increasingly prioritize productivity, energy efficiency, and total cost of ownership?

We're seeing a real shift in the industrial process technology market, with customers putting more emphasis on energy efficiency, long-term value, and automation. When it comes to filtration systems, motorized equipment, and process instrumentation, people are now looking closely at how well these solutions cut down on energy use, reduce hidden losses, and help avoid unexpected breakdowns. Buyers are focusing on serviceability, durability, and how ready a product is for predictive maintenance and real-time optimization.

Q3. How are industrial companies approaching the integration of AI with existing automation systems and legacy equipment, and what challenges could influence the pace of adoption?

In Indonesia and Southeast Asia, companies are taking a cautious but steady approach to adopting AI. For most, it's all about making practical, step-by-step improvements that deliver a clear return on investment. Many businesses are adding AI to their existing legacy systems in focused ways, like using it for predictive maintenance or defect detection. Still, high upfront costs, the need to retrain staff, and challenges around integrating new technology with old equipment are slowing things down.

Q4. What opportunities are emerging for industrial technology providers as customers increasingly focus on reducing energy consumption, emissions, water usage, and material waste?

There are great opportunities in high-efficiency equipment, smarter resource management, solutions for cutting emissions, and approaches that support a circular economy and reduce waste.

Q5. What is the one structural trend in industrial process technology that you believe investors should watch most closely over the next 3–5 years, and why?

The trend is how energy efficiency, emissions reduction, and resource optimization are embedded into automation and lifecycle management systems. This trend is structural because it aligns policy, customer demand, and technology innovation. Companies that deliver digitalized, efficiency-first solutions—whether pumps, filtration systems, or process instrumentation—will capture growth as industries balance productivity with sustainability.
